Anja Mense looks back at a long career in the clothing and luxury goods industry with experience in leadership, sales and management.
After completing her business studies degree in 1993 at the
Westphalia Wilhelms-University, in Münster, Germany, she began her career as area sales manager at Cerruti 1881 GmbH.
Three years later she moved to Windsor GmbH, one of Germany’s leading companies in the clothing industry, and during her seven years there she successfully established and built up the Key Account Management department. In this position she cooperated closely with all the important branches, department stores and opinion makers in the clothing retail industry. Her extensive knowledge of the market made her one of the most important internal links between sales, retail, product management and the management board.
In her capacity as country manager, Anja Mense took over the running of the German sales business of an Italian luxury goods company in 2003 and had sole responsibility for sales, as well as the development of the market position of the brand Malo in Germany and Austria.
In close cooperation with the Italian group headquarters she was responsible (among other things) for the strategic focus of the collection towards the needs of the German market. During this time her expertise in handling people and sales of high end products made her a sought after internal coach for product and sales training.

Today as a partner at KONITZER & TAFEL Management consultants, Anja Mense guides and coaches specialists towards a new professional challenge, and supports companies and staff during difficult redundancy situations. She speaks fluent English and Italian.
